We are excited to announce that our Brick by Brick campaign to raise money for Dedzidi Community School in Ghana has officially begun!

If you haven’t heard of it yet, you’ll certainly become very familiar with it over the next couple of months.

So, what’s it about exactly?

What is Brick by Brick?

Brick by Brick is African Adventures Foundation’s latest fundraising campaign, which aims to raise the funds needed to complete the construction of a new classroom block at Dedzidi Community School in Anloga, Ghana.

We have been partnered with Dedzidi since 2014. Since our partnership began, our volunteers have been working on the build of a new two-storey classroom block, comprising of eight classrooms. Four of these have already been completed.

The construction of the remaining classrooms will allow the school to open its doors to even more children from the local community, providing them with a safe, spacious, and stimulating environment in which to learn.

Brick by Brich has begun, and we want to make the campaign as succesful as it can be. Here, volunteers help with the building at Dedzidi.

What impact will it have?

Although the build is only partially completed, the new classrooms have already made a huge difference to Dedzidi’s students, staff, and surrounding community.

The four new classrooms have reduced class sizes from 50 children to 40, improving the quality of education that the school is able to provide. In addition, the new classrooms mean that lessons are no longer taught outside due to a lack of space. This has led to a decrease in the number of classes that are cancelled due to rain or heat.

By donating to the campaign, you’ll be helping to support hundreds of children in Anloga by improving the facilities and learning environment at Dedzidi. In turn, your donations will increase the quality of education which the school is able to provide and improve access to higher education and employment opportunities for its students.
