Our latest campaign, Brick by Brick, has been aiming to raise the money to complete construction on a new, two-storey classroom at Dedzidi Community School in Ghana.
As the end of October draws nearer, we are imploring all of our supporters and volunteers, past and present, to donate to this valuable cause. Currently, the campaign has raised over £400, but it’s not enough. The more money raised, the more support we will be able to provide to guarantee the hundreds of children at Dedzidi access to a better education.
Many of our volunteers who have travelled to Ghana may have visited Dedzidi, which we have been partnered with since 2014. The school opened in 1990, and since our partnership began, headteacher Elizabeth has seen a dramatic increase in the number of students wishing to attend the school. This is what initiated the build of the new classroom block.
Our valued volunteers have been the drivers of this work, but as time goes on, the need to complete the build is becoming increasingly important. The work which has already been carried out has been invaluable – class sizes have reduced from 50 students to 40, and the build is only half complete. Imagine the impact when it’s finished!
So, we urge you, if you haven’t yet, please spare a donation to Brick by Brick. It could make a huge difference.
How can I donate?
You can donate via our secure website, by text, or by sending us a cheque.
