With more than 20 million people in the UK having now received their first vaccine dose, countries across Africa – including Ghana and Kenya – beginning their own vaccination programmes, and a government review of restrictions set to take place in April, international travel could be permitted from 17th May onwards.

When restrictions are lifted, we’ll be ready and waiting to get back to doing what we do best – providing meaningful and unforgettable volunteering experiences in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar. We know that our in-country teams and partner projects can’t wait to host our volunteers too, when it is safe to do so.

With this in mind, we’ve launched our new Book with Confidence policy to give you greater flexibility, and make it as easy as possible to plan your 2022 adventure.

For your peace of mind, our Book with Confidence policy includes:

Flexible Changes

If you book your trip before 1st November 2021, to depart before 31st August 2022, your group can postpone your trip dates for free up until 10 weeks prior to departure (minus any costs charged by the airline to change your flight).

Covid-19 Cover

Our specialist volunteer travel insurance, included as standard in your trip package, includes cover for suspected or confirmed Coronavirus whilst you’re abroad. This means that, should a member of your group fall ill whilst you’re away, the cost of medical treatment (and, if required, repatriation) is covered.

Full Cash Refunds

If your trip is cancelled by African Adventures due to the Coronavirus pandemic, you’ll receive a full cash refund of your trip costs.

ATOL Protected

All our trips are financially protected through the ATOL scheme, so you can rest assured that any money you pay to us is secure.
